Morgan i hope and pray this year is better than the last 3! you guys started your own team and have done worse! I was at the '05 and 06' races in ohio. And in '06 you signed a piston for my 16th birthday! This year i'm goin be 18. so I hope you get some wins and come in the top five in the championship! Hi Morgan,
I want to thank you for letting my son, David Harrington use your Mother's car for the Jeg's Allstar race last weekend at Route 66 Raceway. You didn't have to do that and sorry we didn't get past first round to put the Lucas name out there more. We really appreciate it. There is not to many Top Fuel racers that would have helped a sportman racer. We don't go to too many Nationals but if we are at a National and you need anything please don't hesitate to ask and if we can we help will.

I want to start by saying Scott I will miss you forever; you have been and always will be my friend. I have been very fortunate to be involved in Drag Racing for over 42 years. I have watched the cars evolve over that period of time. But now more than ever it seems like there is an unbalance. I feel that there needs to be big changes made in Drag Racing to protect our racers and fans and the sport we all love. I know that changes are expensive, but what is a persons life worth? It doesn’t matter how safe the race cars is if the track is dangerous. I feel that there should be a Track Safety Committee formed that has the task of analyzing the present condition of all the tracks on the Drag Racing Circuit and supervising the changes and improvements that need to be completed well in advance of the scheduled race year round. Items like:
1. Starting Line Procedures: All Crews and the Starter should be kept a safe distance from the race cars.
2. Condition of all starting line concrete.
3. The concrete walls need to be replaced with A Safer Barrier Wall starting from the 60ft mark and continuing to the end of the track including the shut down area.
4. The transition from concrete to asphalt. This includes any track surface over a tunnel. There is no reason that with today’s technology the complete track surface can not be smooth.
5. The Race Car Shut Down Area need to be engineered and certified to accommodate a Race Car that is out of control and is headed for this area at full throttle. This in tells lengthen the track, lengthen the Kitty Litter area, install 3 Safety Rope Barriers, and installing A Safer Barrier Wall beyond this point.

I feel that these changes need to be implemented immediately. If the above stated improvements had been completed chances are that Scott Kalitta would not have lost his life. Look around at the surviving races and who among them are you willing to sacrifice next for the sake of economics?

I want to thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion. I will be sending this letter to all the people that have a voice and that can convince NHRA - IHRA that changes and improvements need to be completed immediately.

Hey James50,I believe Geico WANTED to go with Morgan.Why be sarcastic about it? If you've ever met or interacted with the Lucas family you would know that they are a pretty humble bunch who treats everybody with respect.Maybe you're not a fan of Morgans and thats ok but if you ever go to his pit and ask for a autograph or see his "daddy" or mom they will treat you nice.Just look at the money they pour into ALL racing.Without them I don't think the show would be quite as good.You don't have to like Morgan but don't disrespect him on his own site, go to your drivers site and root whoever that is on.Have a little class.

Morgan,I just wanted to thank you again for the slicks you gave me at the test session here in Chandler, AZ this past January. I am still running Lucas oil in my hotrod that we received from your company 3 or 4 years ago. A set of used slicks and an oil deal probably wouldn't mean much to a lot of racers but when you are an independent trying to put enough parts together so you can go run an event, it means a lot. Denis from the Bobsled Challenge here. I went to Indy a couple of weeks ago. If my girlfriend gets the job at Eli Lilly, we will be moving to Indy, looking in Zionsville. We should know in about a month or so.

Man! With Morgan winning the previous race, and Shawn taking out Schumacher in the second round yesterday....it just don't get much better'n that! I respect 'the Sarge' and all, but it sure was getting old watching him win all the time.

I still have my shirt you signed a few years ago, complete with the grease smudges. I wore it once and it was for my Senior Class Picture. My Mom wasn't too happy about that, but it was and still is my favorite shirt. Ever since, it has stayed safely in my closet. :-)

I'm hoping to get to a race at either Englishtown or Maple Grove next year. I miss coming to your Pit Area to watch you and the guys work and get ready.

Hello to all of you. I was fortunate enough to win a pair of passes to your hospitality area through my work (I am a freight driver for NAPA out of the Minneapolis Distribution Center) for Saturday at Brainerd. While there was a mix-up, initially, your entire staff was very helpful in getting the problem solved. Your staff directed me to Bo (Beau? I apologize for my uncertainty in the proper spelling of his name). He got the process started in taking care of the miscommunication.

I've been a drag racing fan for over thirty years; I told Bo that getting in the gate was good enough for me. He, however, told me that if my package was supposed to include admission to the hospitality area, then he would follow it up for me, because it is important to deliver upon one's promises.

To make a long story short, I wandered around the fuel pits for a couple of hours, then went back ask Bo if he'd heard anything. Before I even asked, he told me that it should be taken care of, and that all I needed to do was to walk back to the hospitality area, and tell them my name. He said that if things hadn't been taken caretaken care of, to come back and speak with him again.

As I approached the entrance, the man working the gate (I apologize for not getting your name) didn't even ask for my name, he simply reached for our wristbands.

The rest of the day was unbelievable! In all my years as a "track rat", running from pit to pit to get a whiff of nitro fumes, I have never been treated so well. Pete is a fantastic host, and I cannot say enough about him! Thank you, Pete! The food was incredible, as well! I also want to thank Pete for giving me batteries for my camera--I inadvertently left a fully-charged set at home, and those in my camera went dead. Sorry, Forrest, but you simply can't pay that man enough!

Once racing had been canceled, everyone made us feel welcome to sit comfortably out of the rain. At the end of the day, everyone was gracious, and asked me to stop by and say hello, whenever I am at the track. Forrest and Charlotte, your crew are all very happy to be in your employ, and I am very happy to have spent a day with Lucas Oil Racing! Thank each and every one of you for a fabulous experience.

All that said, I simply want to thank every one of you for your hospitality! I am proud to drive for NAPA, and, I am proud to deliver Lucas Oil products to our jobbers. Thank you for one of the most special times I have spent at the dragstrip.

To Randy Green: Your mom liked the photo I took of you. Thanks for your time. You should be on TV more often.

He is not like the other people wont mention any names. He will sit and talk and do pic.He even listen to my story about how my daughter if a boy was going to be named Lucas Morgan well happen to not work but will keep trying.

Hi Morgan!
I went to my first race two years ago in Brainerd, and now i'm addicted!! I love how you always take time for your fans. This year at Brainerd it was raining alot, and in between runs you came out of your trailer to go talk to your dad who was across from me and my friends. Even though it was raining, you still took the time to stop and say hi. The year before that you autographed my shirt and took pics with me. It really means alot to me when the drivers take time for their fans. I hope everything works out for you, and i hope you finish strong! Congrats on everything you have accomplished! I hope to see you next year!:)

Thanks for a great weekend and all the support to all racers. I hekped put the Fire Sprinklers in an addition to the Sunkist plant that is now your West Coast Headquarters. They used to have drinking fountains of citrus mostly Orange Juice. I am sorry they took out the rail head. That is where I learned to pay attention. Nice meeting your mom. Since my Union supported Spencer I had to root for him but you are my second choice as is Shawn. Kind of a 2a and 2b. Good luck next year and send a sponsor Spencers way we need a little help. As a fan who attended the 4-wide race in Charlotte, I want to thank you for your very honest and candid comments on Saturday's ESPN broadcast regarding next Spring's 4-wide race.

As a fan, I was really disappointed as it was not a very enjoyable race to watch from the stands. It's really hard to catch all that's going on during a run when you have to keep an eye on 4 cars.

I appreciated your comments supporting Bruton Smith, but also the need for supporting your sponsors as well as making it enjoyable for the fans. Everyone else who was interview caved, it was good to see you stand up for what you believe.

I understand that people don't want to step on Bruton's toes but people fail to realize that their voice counts just as much as the next person's; regardless of how deep their pockets are.
